PetShopPuppies, Inc. is all about education. We work hard to provide you with factual information about the commercial dog industry, and rely heavily on you to use this knowledge to educate others. Our newest addition to our website is the article download site. From this page, you can download PDF articles about the commercial industry. All information is copyrighted, but we grant unlimited and free use to the public, so long as the copyright information remains intact, and absolutely no aspect of the article is changed in any way. The information may be used on the web, printed and handed out, or used in local or national publications; if those publications require a release from our organization, please email us at psp@petshoppuppies.org. We will be adding to our library regularly, so please check back often. USDA Standards - So often we hear about "standards of care" in the dog industry, and many people wonder how so much abuse can go on when the USDA is supposed to be policing commercial dog breeders. When you read this article, you'll understand. NOTE: The format of this article is set up so that it can be printed on the front and back of each page, and then folded into a small booklet. If you save the pdf file on to a disk or thumb-drive, and take it to any office store that does printing, they should easily be able to print, correlate, fold, and staple multiple copies at a fairly reasonable price. The Moms - This article takes the USDA Standards, as they apply to female dogs with nursing puppies, a step further. It does a great job of showing what it is like for a "brood bitch" in a commercial kennel. Rehabilitation of a Puppy Mill Survivor -- This article has been recently updated and does a great job of helping prospective adopters of mill rescues understand what to expect, and how to deal with problems in mill dogs. Rescued Dogs from USDA Kennels -- Must-see article that highlights dozens of dogs' stories of suffering -- dogs rescued from USDA licensed facilities. |
