§287.335a Prohibited acts |

Prohibits pet shops from offering for sale any
dog unless DHLPP inoculated and, if indicated, treated for external
and internal parasites at least 7 days before entry into the state. The
dog must be accompanied by a health certificate signed by a vet, including
records of medication and immunization.
Prohibits offering any cat for sale unless the cat is FVRCP inoculated
and, if indicated, has been treated for external and internal parasites at
least 7 days prior to entry into the state. The cat must be accompanied by
a health certificate signed by a vet, including records of medication and
immunization.
Prohibits pet shops
from importing or offering for sale a dog or cat that is less than 8 weeks
old.
Prohibits selling or delivering a dog or cat without providing to the
purchaser a health certificate signed by a vet. The certificate must
include a health record indicating the date and type of vaccinations.

Misdemeanor: Maximum
imprisonment 90 days; Maximum fine of $500.
Suspension or
revocation of license in Director’s discretion.
Maximum administrative
fine of $1000. |
