How it Began

It all began with one dog!
Our mission of awareness and
education, as well as our commitment to continue fighting for all dogs
trapped in Indiana puppy mills, is dedicated to a dog named Daisy. She was
"rescued" from an Indiana puppy mill but it was too late for her. She lived
only a few short hours, but it is our hope that, through this mission
inspired by her memory, we can begin to make a difference for dogs just like
her. There are tens of thousands of dogs, each known only by a number, who
live every day of their lives in puppy mills across the country in order to
supply the demand for puppies in pet stores around the world. When hope is
hard to find and progress seems out of reach, Daisy's suffering must never
be forgotten, and freedom for dogs like her must serve as our beacon.
Rest in peace, sweet Daisy.
